Technique, by Arunas Bizokas

I would like to comment on the subject of the technique:

I like general description of the Technique given in WIKIPEDIA:

A technique is a procedure used to accomplish a specific activity or task”

There can be different tasks in someone’s dancing; achieving correct closing actions of the feet in waltz, using swaying actions to balance the turns, improving partnering skills of the couple, getting stronger emotional connection with the audience and etc.

The procedure of how we accomplish these tasks could be called technique. Therefore, I could say that in the process of trying to improve my dancing, I spend most of my time working on the technique. I believe this wide understanding of what technique is, makes it easier to improve all the aspects of dancing.
